Containment Required is an installation positioned at the entrance of the space, combining a wall-mounted duct, a stretched horizontal net and an object held within it. The arrangement borrows from the visual language of ventilation, filtering and safety barriers, while leaving its actual function uncertain. As the net extends across the threshold, the viewer is required to negotiate the structure physically, turning entry into an act of adjustment. The work brings together ideas of circulation, containment and obstruction within a system that appears functional yet remains difficult to read.
